Deactivated Facebook and instagram accounts

Got so pissed off with fb and instagram that I decided to delete the accounts. Feeling like I’m naked or something...
Does this mean I’m addicted?
I was wasting too much time looking at other people’s lives than I was spending caring about my own.

Don’t swap caring about other people’s lives for caring about other people’s opinions!
You felt you were spending too much time on them, so you stopped.
If it works for you - good!

Did you actually delete FB or just deactivate it? I had to google search how to actually delete FB rather than deactivate. Life is much better without it for me.

I deactivated my FB account in November - have been back twice to look at specific groups. I am really loving it and making more effort to see people in real life. If it’s working for you then great.

I've done the same with Facebook, realised how much time i was wasting instead of playing with the kids. I've started reading books again which has helped. X

Just be careful you don’t swap time on Facebook for Mumsnet instead.

I think it’s smartphones that are addictive. I sit there flicking through various apps... social media, news, Pinterest, photos, games and back to the start again.

@Carolsbiggestfan haha yeah that was my thought exactly

I need to focus on my career atm and wasting time on fb and instagram got to me today. Need to study.

Don’t understand why I feel disconnected.
Family is miles away so can’t see them as often as I wish. I was mainly using fb to keep in touch with people I haven’t seen in years. Curiosity I guess
