Holiday recommendations nearish Edinburgh

Posting for traffic!

Looking for holiday recommendations about a 3h drive from Edinburgh. Relaxing, short walks, castles, etc.

Anyone know anywhere nice and not too expensive?

Northumberland! Amazing walks, beaches, castles, stately homes, wildlife- it’s got it all! And doesn’t get crowded
