Well today I took ham, tuna, cheese & two boiled eggs to work for my lunch.

Tomorrow I've got lime & coconut chicken breasts and a tiny bit of couscous.

Otherwise, I think it's eggs, eggs, eggs! 🥚🥚🥚

Cob salad

formerbabe · 09/05/2019 20:10

Stuff a big portobello mushroom with a teaspoon of pesto and mozzarella or any other cheese you like...wrap in Parma ham and bake.

AppleKatie · 09/05/2019 20:10

I came on to say chicken salad (sorry!)

Eggs, or cottage cheese?

FannyOMalley · 09/05/2019 20:12

Eggs. Boiled...or I often make a frittata with salad.

Grilled halloumi.

Buffalo mozzarella.

Nut roast slices.

Veg or bean based soup if you’ve got access to a microwave.

I don’t enjoy cold or next day meat so don’t usually eat it at lunchtime.

Muffintop101 · 09/05/2019 20:13

Pulses fried in olive oil, garlic and chilli flakes. Make dahl by dry frying the spices, adding some butter, a chopped onion, garlic clove and ginger, lentils and water. Takes about 20 mins and can be taken into work easily.

BikeRunSki · 09/05/2019 20:13

Smiled mackerel salad
Tuna salad
Falafel
Houmous

Three bean salad

bridgetreilly · 09/05/2019 20:24

Cheese, nuts, cherry tomatoes and salad
Hummus and veg
Tuna mayo in lettuce wraps
Smoked mackerel pate in lettuce wraps

bridgetreilly · 09/05/2019 20:25

Tuna bean salad: tin of tuna, tin of beans (I use flageolet, but whatever you prefer), chopped red onion, dressing of your choice: mix together.

Crimbles · 09/05/2019 20:26

Have you come across Vivera products? The Smokey BBQ Pulled Veggie is delicious. I have it for lunch with a mexican inspired salad (avocado, sweetcorn, roasted sweet potato, green salad) or in a wrap with salad.

I'm not vegan/veggie, it's just yum, fat free and high protein.

BikeRunSki · 09/05/2019 21:06

Peanut butter and oatcakes

EatsFartsAndLeaves · 09/05/2019 21:17

Tinned mackerel in spicy sauce on toast, it's perfect. Supermarkets own brand ones are all good.

MadameJosephine · 09/05/2019 21:27

I’ve started adding a low fat high protein yogurt to my lunchbox. Kvarg and Skyr ones are both nice. The kvarg one I had today added 17g of protein but was only 89 calories

Sleepinglemon · 09/05/2019 21:27

I have a plastic bento lunch box that has 5 sections that all seal up separately. Things I put in it are: hard boiled egg, cream cheese and ham roll ups, diced hard cheese, cooked sausage, whole full fat yoghurt with a little powdered sweetener or no added sugar jam, tuna mayo, gherkins and pickles, cooked salmon, cucumber.

AmIRightOrAMeringue · 09/05/2019 21:34

Quorn scotch eggs

TheSmallAssassin · 09/05/2019 21:38

Ready to eat Puy lentils with beetroot and an orange dressing. Or feta and olive oil instead of the orange dressing. Lots of parsley.

Smoked mackerel, rocket, red onion sliced thinly and quick pickled in a bit of lemon juice. Or horseradiah. Would be nice with beetroot too.

Beef carpaccio, rocket, parmesan.

Boiled gg, chickpea, tuna, green bean salad.

Tuna and mixed pulses, red onion, parsley, vinaigrette.

Hot smoked salmon fillet, with salad, optional boiled egg.

Smoked chicken salad to ring the changes?

Frittata with seasonal veg (asparagus, mushroom, pepper?) - maybe with some nice soft goat's cheese?

Scotch egg 😋

Tuna is jam packed with protein. You can do a small baked potato in the microwave or oven ahead of time, then take it into work with a tin of tuna and mix them together with about 25g of maybe. Turkey is amazing for protein. Turkey sausages in pesto with pasta. If you are veggie, I had an orzo mushroom linda mccartney sausage pasta risotto for tea tonight. 27g protein, 340 cals. Delicious!

Dixiechickonhols · 09/05/2019 22:19

BikeRunSki · 11/05/2019 22:14

IncyWincyHider · 11/05/2019 22:21

Quinoa and Linda McCartney sausages - quinoa is high in protein for a grain (8g per 100g I believe) and two lindas are 16g I believe! Could add a boiled egg

Likethebattle · 11/05/2019 22:22

Spanish omelette with salad.

NicoAndTheNiners · 11/05/2019 22:25
