Yes I know before you tell me I’m being utterly ridiculous!

Started a new job and love it, but something really minor rankles me and I need to stop being so bloody ridiculous.

It’s a team of around 5 and no one says ‘bless you’ Hardly ever after a sneeze. I guess I’ve been brought up to always say it and think it’s bad manners not to. I’m the only one that says it in the office and can’t seem to stop myself and I’m finding myself unreasonably annoyed by this!

Don’t know what’s wrong with me! It’s a totally stupid thing to be annoyed by- is anyone else like this?! Or have I lost the plot

I hate it when people say “bless you” after a sneeze. It’s stupid and pointless.

To me it's religious (I know some people who say the whole God Bless You) - I'm not so would never say it!

It makes me feel awkward when people say it as I think "am I supposed to say thank you?"

My daughter calls a sneeze a bleshoo (bless you) which I find really cute when she she says "I done a bleshoo"

I'm an atheist and would never say it. I do excuse myself when I sneeze. I think it's utterly unreasonable to be annoyed that people don't say it.

As I understand it sneezing was usually the first sign of the plague. Saying 'bless you' was meant to ward off the evil spirits that 'caused' it.

I grew up saying it and am actively training myself not to. It's certainly not bad manners not to say it.

I find it extremely annoying when people say it and I enjoy completely blanking them when they do.

I never say it. There’s no need to draw attention to and make a fuss about someone having sneezed.

My oh gets upset when I dont bless his sneezes, seems to think he will be cursed or something if I don't.

If you worked with me you'd be saying Bless You 3 times in a row every 5 minutes at the moment, surely you'd get bored of that pretty quickly!!

I blessed a complete stranger earlier today it just came out I had no idea my mouth was doing it 😳😳 and she Thanked me🙈

My friend a prolific sneezer just like me never says 'bless you' because a fairy will die. We mostly don't comment on coughs, burps or farts so why sneezes?
