38 weeks pregnant, moved house a week ago, surrounded by boxes, hair a greasy mess, pots piled up on the side. Dp on a night shift. I have the whole evening to achieve anything! Yet all I can do is sit on the sofa feel guilty for doing nothing. Anyone have a pep talk or any tips to get myself moving? 😳 thanks!

Just put your feet up and relax.
You’re growing a baby, do you know how hard your body is working?!

But if you really have to - Go and put your phone timer for 15 mins and do what you can. Then sit down.

Do the washing up while you wait for a takeaway to be delivered.

Think about today as the day you conserve as much energy as possible for tomorrow. Then when tomorrow comes just do what you can, here and there. The boxes will get unpacked, the pots will be washed. It can all wait.

I still have boxes. Many many boxes. I no longer care. They'll get done at some point.

You're already doing something lass with being pregnant. Put your feet up. Tomorrow's another day.

As a pp said- you are growing a tiny human. Your body is achieving so much already. Everything else can wait. Do 5 mins here and there when you feel like it. Stop putting all this pressure on yourself!

Thanks everyone. Bit of outside perspective always helps! Pots are done and feet are up with a raspberry leaf tea. Will watch an hour or so of mindless rubbish then hairwash and bed. I've written a to do list ready for tomorrow but prepared for it to take the week to complete! These final few weeks of pregnancy are like the final countdown of an infinate length, I think that's where this feeling of everything must be done tonight has come from. X
