To ask about Rubella (any GPs on mumsnet?)

I've been ill with a virus for a fortnight. It started with a cold, progressed into conjunctivitis (pink eye) and then laryngitis (inflamed larynx with voice loss) and a forceful, painful cough. About a week ago I developed a measles-like rash on my chest, abdomen and legs.

I've not had a fever during this time so I do not think it has been Measles. I thought that perhaps it was 'Slapped Cheek', which also causes a measles-like rash, in addition to pink cheeks but I've now realised my red cheeks were just due to a reaction to a face cream! (this happened a week after the torso rash so the two are not related in any way).

Just wondering if this sounds like Rubella? and if I'm still contagious now that the rash is fading and I'm starting to feel better?

Thanks!
