I'd like to know what the doctor wrote on this x-ray request form, as he had us back out the door before I really knew what was going on and I've now got an unexpected visit to the hospital in the morning with DS.

To ask if you can decipher this GP's writing?

Hmm. Movement is fine. Possible with... liposuction?! 😀

CaravanHero · 01/05/2019 23:35

Something ‘seems fine’ and ‘possible’ xxxxx

Pretty sure those aren’t the words you needed reading though! Hope someone can do it op.

AfterTrentham · 01/05/2019 23:36

Looks like "6 week history of pain. Movement seems fine. Possible (undecipherable). ? (which means "query" if at the start of a sentence) bony pathology.

The doctor's wondering if DS has broken something or otherwise injured a bone, I think. Sorry I can't read the middle couple of words. Does that fit with what you were expecting?

Justajot · 01/05/2019 23:36

Any clues from what you went to see the doctor for?

Katastrophy · 01/05/2019 23:36

All I can read is a 6 week history of pain and the word fine

Missingthesea · 01/05/2019 23:37

Well, the second sentence looks like "Movement seems fine". Dunno about the rest though, sorry.

Justajot · 01/05/2019 23:37

Why does it say 6/5squared?

foreverhanging · 01/05/2019 23:38

6/52 hx (history) of pain
movement seems fine
Possible h (can't figure this one!)
? Evidence (something) pathology

TVname · 01/05/2019 23:38

Sorry yes, that would help! DS age 3 complaining of back pain. It's the middle bit that's got me stumped.

OP posts:
foreverhanging · 01/05/2019 23:39

@Justajot it's 6/52 hx which is 6 weeks history

foreverhanging · 01/05/2019 23:40

If it relates to back could it say hyper mobility scoliosis ?

Still18atheart · 01/05/2019 23:41

Approx 6 history of pain. Moment seems fine. Possible x x (hippo-something?) ? Evident x

BagofTeeth · 01/05/2019 23:41

Could it say kyphoscoliosis? Looks like hypho or kypho and that came up in a search. What area is the x-ray for?

nocoolnamesleft · 01/05/2019 23:42

6 weeks history of pain. Movement seems fine. Possible mild kyphoscoliosis. Query evidence bony pathology.

BluePheasant · 01/05/2019 23:43

Christ that's bad even for doctor's writing....

6 week history of pain. Movement seems fine. Possible nill. (Can't figure out next word)
? Evidence bony pathology.

RubberTreePlant · 01/05/2019 23:43

Middle bit;

Possible mild hip (something).

Restingbitchface01 · 01/05/2019 23:44

6 week history of pain. Movement seems fine. Possible mild xxxx. ? bony pathology.

RubberTreePlant · 01/05/2019 23:45

6 weeks history of pain. Movement seems fine. Possible mild kyphoscoliosis. Query evidence bony pathology.

Oh well done. Are you an HCP or a handwriting expert?

Jeezypeepers · 01/05/2019 23:45

It’s ? (Query) kyphoscoliosis I suspect, so an abnormally pronounced bend to the spine

RubberTreePlant · 01/05/2019 23:46

Reassuring to see "mild" anyway OP.

Gammeldragz · 01/05/2019 23:46

Agree with nocoolnamesleft, that would be my guess too

TVname · 01/05/2019 23:47

Thank you, I was really struggling with it.

OP posts:
StarJasmine · 01/05/2019 23:47

6/52 hx of pain (= 6 week history of pain)
Movement seems fine
Possible mild (truly indecipherable word - hyposomething? Kyphosis?)
Query evidence (bony?) pathology

That is BAD writing. Ridiculous really. This is a clever person. The radiologist needs to know what the clinical suspicion is. They should be able to write at least vaguely legibly.

Jeezypeepers · 01/05/2019 23:47

Actually it’s more likely to be possible mild kyphoscoliosis; query bony pathology

StarJasmine · 01/05/2019 23:49

Cross post! Kyphoscoliosis, that’ll be right.
