Implants (no not that kind - teeth related)

Posting for traffic - not sure if there's a dental forum on here?

Has anyone had any dental implants? If so, how was your experience and how long have they lasted? Any issues? I've read that they should last decades if well cared for.

Might be losing a tooth which is in my smile line and also have fillings in a few molars. Trying to reassure myself that I won't be toothless at 32 if they do fall out!

Me!

I have 2 molars. Have only had them since December & had the prep done this time last year. Was in the dentist a LOT. Cost a fortune, but totally worth it.

I have three, got them done eleven years ago (lateral incisor and both canines) in Hungary. Had to have a little bit of my upper jaw cut out around that area too which was fun Confused

Despite the fact that I should have been more prone to problems because of that, having looked after them properly I cant complain (touch wood!). Very happy with them, wasn't overly painful. Just make sure you do your homework thoroughly as they are expensive.

Thanks for the replies - glad to know they've lasted over 10 years bananas. I've seen a clinic in Budapest which is advertised regularly in the papers but I will do more homework. I have become paranoid I will be completely toothless at such a young age.
