I have just been to an interview. It went well, the manager seemed fairly keen. I am genuinely interested in the job but only if it is the right fit for me.
The problem I have with it at the moment are the working hours / rota.
The job was advertised as full time position. Which would mean :
5 day week then 6 day week then 5 then 6 again and so on including every Saturday (they not open on Sunday). I can not do this which I explained to the manager.
She then suggested part time either 3 - 4 days a week, again she would want me to work every Saturday which I am not sure about. When I left after the interview she asked me to have a think about it and let her know what I would like.
I for a 100% would like at least one Saturday off and would be more than happy to consider part time. The salary is £22000 full time or £22000 pro rata.

Any thoughts on this? what would you do if you were me?

If it's 5 then 6 does that not mean every alternate Saturday is worked? It's not very clear.

Were you not aware of the hours before applying?

Zoella8 · 30/04/2019 13:46

Nope I was not aware of the hours before applying. I knew it was full time but I presumed it was 5 day weeks with every other Saturday work.
No it does not @Bookworm4
I would mean a Monday to Saturday week and very alternate week I would have a day off during the week.

Does it suit your lifestyle to make your day off in the week your “Saturday “? Ive always worked shifts and used to get that Friday night feeling at 3am on a Tuesday Smile.

They need people to work Saturdays - you don’t want to work Saturdays

It doesn’t sound like the job for you... 🤷‍♀️
