To worry my baby has changed position? Pic attached

I'm really worried my baby has suddenly changed position right before my induction tomorrow. He has been head down since 31 weeks but I've now noticed what looks like a dip in the middle of my belly Confused

I googled it and it says baby could be transverse? I've totally freaked myself out. The pic is below.

Has anybody else had this? Or am I freaking out about nothing..

Can't a dip in the belly button show baby is back to back? But that wouldn't affect your induction. Hopefully all is okay tomorrow!!

incogneto · 26/04/2019 21:38

@lewk oh my gosh really? Sad

I hadn't even considered that! Maybe that explains why I've been in so much bloody pain the last few days.

It might not be though! Just something I've heard. I'm sure the midwives will have a good feel tomorrow when you go in - sending you lots of luck!

incogneto · 26/04/2019 21:41

@lewk Hopefully he isn't! I've heard back to back labours are even more horrendous.

Thank you Thanks

Good luck, I had a belly button dip, DS was back to back, I also had an induction. Midwife basically told me to have an epidural (I was up for it anyway), because the induction drip makes it more painful, as does back to back and my DS had a big head!

incogneto · 27/04/2019 02:13

@ZippyBungleandGeorge I'm definitely asking for the epidural! I just hope they aren't reluctant to give it Sad

I was ready to fight for it and really didn't have to at all, I was pleasantly surprised. The midwife I had there and in the ward were both amazing, actually every medical person I came across during labour and after couldn't have been nicer. You'll get to meet your baby today! Hope everything goes quickly and easily for you.

My baby was transverse. Turned in the last few days and I had to stay in hospital in case I wentiinto labour. It was really obvious. They managed to turn him and I was induced.

incogneto · 27/04/2019 12:39

Update: baby wasn't back to back! Thank god.
