Disney on ice and babies

We have booked for Disney on Ice, myself and DD. I thought it was tonight, but accidentally booked tomorrow. In a panic now trying to work out options as I was supposed to have the baby twins whilst DP meets a new friend for some alone time.

Would it be mental to take 2 almost 1s and an 8 to Disney on Ice on my own? I've checked and under 1s on laps are allowed without tickets

I can't cancel, she is so keen for it.
DP was lovely and despite my cock up offered to cancel her thing, but she doesn't have many friends since moving so I don't feel that's a fair option.
Our only childcare is otherwise engaged.
New childcare if DP found out she would just cancel her trip with separation anxiety...

Help!

How would one lap and 2 twins work? If one of them screams will you feel comfortable leaving 8 year old in her seat to take the babies out?

We went in Birmingham, and each act is 45ish minutes long. I think one baby would be fine, and I’m not a twin mum so I defer to your knowledge on whether 2 is doable, but the questions above would be the ones I would consider.

Totally undoable, sorry. No venue will allow two babies on one adult lap - you risk getting there and being refused entry which would be even worse for your other child.

I would grovel to the people running it and explain what you've told us and hope they take pity and change the tickets for you.

I'm taking my youngest to a Cinderella ballet in a few weeks for her eighth birthday, I sympathise if your dd is half the drama queen mine is and you have to tell her there's no DOI

Ithinkmycatisevil · 25/04/2019 06:51

No, please don't take the babies, you'll ruin it for everyone else there if they start playing up, either that or you'll have to leave your dd to watch alone while you take them out, and at eight, that's far from ideal.

Either your partner will have to cancel, or you'll have to rebook for another time.

I have done it with 1 baby and an older child but wouldn't do it with 2.

justarandomtricycle · 25/04/2019 08:21

Do you have a trusted babysitter or nanny? This is a perfect time to make use.

Ihatehashtags · 25/04/2019 08:26

Yeah you can’t go with two babies. No way.

Northernlurker · 25/04/2019 08:30

Why can't your partners new friend come round for takeaway and baby cuddles? There's no other option.
