Here goes mine!

Last night I told my husband I will make him a packlunch for work, as I knew today would be a really long day of back to back meetings, and he wouldn't have a chance to go out and buy any lunch.

My husband said it was ok he will make the packlunch and for me to take it easy, I told him don't worry I've got it covered. Last night I told him in bed, how I have made him a mini feast for dinner and he will love it.

DH has just rang me howling over his mini feast packlunch. He unzips his lunch bag, pulls out his sandwich and takes a bite. Only too be greeted with a taste of bread butter and nothing else. He thinks maybe I haven't put the meat on properly and opens the sandwich only to be greeted with no filling. Just straight up butter. Blush

No big deal he thinks. Kung Fu called it a mini feast so I'll be fine. He grabs a mini container out of the lunch box and sees no more than 5 grapes chopped up in it -just like how I chop up toddler DDs grapes He grabs another mini container and just diced onion in that one. im not quite sure why, maybe in my mind I would fill that one with salad and only got around to the onions and forgot and his favourite part? I'd packed a kids carton and a frube Blush

I've had plenty of baby brain moments over the time, but I think this one is my best yet!

Perhaps not too bad but I did walk up to the automatic sliding doors of my office building the other day, and get out my car keys out of my bag ready to use them to unlock the building.

I lost my purse for a week after I put it away with the flour.

I walked around the supermarket car park in tears because I couldn't find my car and thought it had been stolen. Called dh who reminded me I had gone in his car.

Gave a presentation at work to a room full of government officials with my shirt on inside out.

Frequently go upstairs to get something, have a wee, come back down and have to go back up.

Youngest is 8 now and I never really recovered my pre dc brain. I miss it so much Sad

While my little one was napping took the time to relax and have a shower. I got out of the shower and couldn't find him, he wasn't in my bedroom I went downstairs to check he wasn't there, where is he? ran back upstairs frantic he's stood in his cot grinning at me. Where else would I have left him?

I think my brain is mush at the minute, my DD is 5 weeks old and it's all gone to pot Sad

DaisyAWhoops · 23/04/2019 14:27

After a hospital appointment for a heart scan for baby DD I once called DH in tears because my key wasn't unlocking the car and somebody had broken in and stolen the base for the car seat. I assumed that as they hadn't broken the window, they had used some fancy technology which in turn had buggered up my central locking so could he leave work and come and pick me up?

Turns out it wasn't my car. My car was two spaces up.

Treaclesweet · 23/04/2019 14:28

Went to make our tea last night, salmon fillets and rice. DH said, give the salmon a good sniff though won't you. Why says I.

I'd put it away in the tin cupboard instead of the fridge Blush

I have 6 kids and no 3 I didn’t know I was pregnant til the Monday-had him on the sat standing up on the landing (whole other thread) anyway within 2 months I’d left him at home-got all the way into town before the penny dropped
I left him in our local shop-twice
On a bus-5 times
And at the bus stop once-thankfully an old lady picked him up and banged on the window
I also could never remember where my hairbrush was for some reason (that improved after about 6 months)
Kept finding my keys in the kettle and my phone in the fridge (thank god for Nokia’s)
He’s 19 now and just laughs at me I was so worried he’d think I didn’t want him as a baby and was always trying to lose him!

crosser62 · 23/04/2019 14:34

Got to Asda. Thought my pedals in the car felt funny.
Looked down to see big fluffy pink slippers on my feet.
Also, I was going to Tesco not Asda, no idea how I got there, absolutely no recollection of the journey.

I lost the pushchair when I was pregnant with my 2nd. I put my toddler in the car and drove off, leaving the buggy at the roadside. I didn't notice until the following day when I went to use it. It obviously wasn't where I left it so I went to report it to the police but the local station's public desk was closed so I drove off, nearly turning the wrong way down a one way street but was stopped by a passing police officer. Ooops.

Peccary · 23/04/2019 16:43

Took DD to a class in the next town, got home and put her in the lounge in car seat. then realised I hadn't loaded pushchair so got back in car, drove to end of cul-de-sac and realised I'd forgotten DD! Pushchair was still where I left it on the street.

Ran around the house shouting for my 4 year old DS after I put the baby for a nap and realised he was nowhere to be found. I was frantic, ran in the garden and looking down the street. So ready to call the police when I noticed a text from my mum who said DS was having a great time and she hoped I was getting some rest. My mum had taken him out for the day and I'd completely forgotten!

Also had to go get a new pair of glasses as I'd misplaced mine. Found them at the bottom of the chest freezer about 2 weeks later.

BattenburgIsland · 23/04/2019 17:47

When I was pregnant with my son I went into the city to do my Christmas shopping... managed to get loads done and was sat happily on the train back when i realised i had only my handbag with me. I'd just left every single bag of shopping on a bench I had sat down on briefly in the city centre. Hundreds of quids worth of gifts. And I did not get any of them back. I was distraught! Only saw the funny side years later.
I also put my iPhone in the tumble drier....

NorthernRunner · 23/04/2019 17:50

Ordering 10 blocks of butter from Tesco was a weird one. I did wonder why the food shop was a good £20 more than normal but I didn’t realise until they arrived 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

NeverHadANickname · 23/04/2019 17:55

Does this start in pregnancy because it is starting to annoy me. Yesterday I kept getting words the wrong way around and this morning I set off to the market in the car only to have to turn around 10 minutes after setting off when I realised I still had my slippers on. I'm only 16 weeks.
