Very High air pollution should be reported

AIBU to think that alerts should be posted with local news, BBC website, and whatever other sources are possible, when air pollution is so bad that the advice for the general population is to:

"Reduce physical exertion, particularly outdoors, especially if you experience symptoms such as cough or sore throat." and for children, the elderly, people with heart or lung problems - "avoid strenuous physical activity. People with asthma may find they need to use their reliever inhaler more often."

Usually schools keep children indoors in these conditions, but how many people will realise that this is happening right now around the Thames Estuary, and High pollution elsewhere plus EU reportable levels of high ozone in the Bournemouth area, if we aren't warned??? More people have strokes and heart attacks during bad pollution and if more were warned, people would be more likely to take the advice.

FYI Unless you're in the Scottish Borders area, the air you're breathing today is moderate to absolutely shite. uk-air.defra.gov.uk/
