To ask for help finding a self tanning cream for VERY pale people?

This isn't strictly an AIBU sorry, more like a plea for help!

I'm ridiculously pale, practically paper white. I can't get a tan at all, and I burn in the sun even with suncream in under half an hour.

I've tried the lightest gradual tanning moisturisers and I end up looking like an orange, I want to try a spray tan but I fear the same. And because the weather is getting warmer it would be nice to get my legs out again!

If any other pale people could recomend me what worked for them that would be great :)

I’m freakishly pale and used the dove one last summer with great success.

Bambamber · 22/04/2019 09:36

I just stick with looking pale to be honest. Nothing wrong with getting pale legs out

Hiphopopotamous · 22/04/2019 09:40

Bondi sands! It's usually on sale at Boots. I'm super pale, tried the light/medium and if anything it was too light. I now do one coat of "dark" and it looks like I've been away for a week, lasts for ages and very natural colour, no streaks! Can't believe I've been using crap fake tans for years!

Hiphopopotamous · 22/04/2019 09:40

I'd try the light/medium and you can always reapply if it's too light

SachaStark · 22/04/2019 09:41

I agree with Bambamber!

Google effin tan, I'm very pale and it gives me a nice golden colour rather than orange

Ypsilanti · 22/04/2019 09:43

Pale and interesting all the way OP. I’m like you and after many years in my teens and twenties of unsuccessfully trying to use self-tan and ending up looking streaky and ridiculous, I said sod it and accepted my ashen limbs. I just wear colours flattering on pale skin and channel my best english rose vibes.

AnneLovesGilbert · 22/04/2019 09:48

I’m all for pale and interesting too and that’s lovely but my legs and chest are covered in blue veins so something which masked those a bit was welcome.

St Tropez gradual tanning body lotion light/medium. I’m pale and it’s fine for me.

Thecoffee · 22/04/2019 10:11

The St Tropez one that you use in the shower. It's the only one that doesn't make me look as though I've smeared Marmite on my legs.

Processedpea · 22/04/2019 10:13

2nd the dove self tanning moisturiser it's fab and I am.very pale too you can also build it up bit it's subtle and doesn't streak

OnlyYellowRoses · 22/04/2019 10:23

I used st moritz mousse last night with a mitt. Says to leave it 4-6 hours but I left it two and a half as I'm very pale and didn't want to look orange. It's lovely and golden today and no streaks

SchnitzelVonKrumm · 22/04/2019 10:24

St Tropez in-shower or Clarins tan drops
