to think ALDI might still have Easter Eggs tomorrow...?

Just out of hospital, was in for 4 days and realised I've done no Easter Egg shopping! It didn't even cross my mind as I've been poorly, but much better now. My niece loves ALDI Easter Eggs but I have a feeling they'll all be sold out by now and they're not open this late on Good Friday...

AIBU to think they won't have any (I also live very close to an ALDI so would be ideal!)?

Tesco has a plethora of eggs. Obviously depends on the store but the big one in SW London had the biggest selection I’ve ever seen!

socksoo · 19/04/2019 20:29

There's no Tesco near me. I have an ALDI, LIDL and a little corner shop. I could travel but it's bloomin' miles away and I'm not driving atm! Argh.

Is it too late to book a delivery for tomorrow?

Jamhandprints · 19/04/2019 20:30

I don't know. I was in ours yesterday and they still had loads. No mini eggs left but plenty to choose from.

NoClueWithStyle · 19/04/2019 20:30

My local aldi had numerous various eggs still in stock at 5pm this afternoon. Both Aldi and mainstream brands.
You might be fine if you get there at opening time tomorrow.

Wishing you a full recovery soon.

BertieBotts · 19/04/2019 20:31

Can't hurt to try. I'd go in early, when they first open so you miss the rush.

edwinbear · 19/04/2019 20:31

There were 100’s in Sainsbury’s today - I’m sure you’ll be fine. But under the circumstances, I’m sure nobody is expecting you to go Easter egg shopping! Hope you are recovering well Smile

Jamhandprints · 19/04/2019 20:31

But OP, I'm sure they will understand if you can't get any. Also small corner shops often have them in, even after Easter.

DarthLipgloss · 19/04/2019 20:34

My aldi had some own brand ones left today

OneBiscuitAtATime · 19/04/2019 20:35

My local Aldi had plenty this afternoon, I think you’ll be fine.

Kelsoooo · 19/04/2019 20:35

Aldi is open until 10 today?

My Tesco delivery just arrived.....no eggs and "no substitute available" despite my seeing three prefilled units of the fucking things in yesterday.

AnnieOH1 · 19/04/2019 20:38

Our Aldi only had the cocoa pod type ones left although plenty of the little eggs, hunt kits etc.

Oysterbabe · 19/04/2019 20:40

They will still have eggs. I bet they'll have enough to be selling them reduced after Easter.

socksoo · 19/04/2019 20:42

You reckon @Oysterbabe ? My mum is convinced there's no point me even trying 😩

Bringbackthestripes · 19/04/2019 20:42

Loads in my aldi today.

clary · 19/04/2019 20:42

They had plenty today op, both own brand and name brands eg Maltesers.

Sorry you've been ill, Aldinopen as normal tomorrow and yes, till 10pm tonight.

socksoo · 19/04/2019 20:45

My ALDI is closed. According to the website anyway!

HouseOfToys · 19/04/2019 20:46

I hope so. I went shopping today and forgot them.

If I get them too early I eat them.

Fingers crossed there will be some in the morning.

Sparklesocks · 19/04/2019 20:48

I was in Lidl earlier and they’d all gone, but then I dropped into Tesco about an hour ago and there were loads.

jimmyhill · 19/04/2019 20:53

Traditionally on MN we send a taxi to the supermarket if we can't drive

Chickychoccyegg · 19/04/2019 20:54

still loads today in my local aldi

BackforGood · 19/04/2019 20:58

My local Aldi had loads of Malteser ones this afternoon - wasn't really looking for them so don't know what else, but I'm sure you will be fine.

Geraniumpink · 19/04/2019 20:59

Loads about in my local Aldi today too - I think you will be fine.

Stravapalava · 19/04/2019 21:01

Of course they will. Eggs never sell out - they hang about the reduced section for weeks after Easter.

katseyes7 · 19/04/2019 21:04

Asda and Morrisons had loads yesterday, if that's any help?
