To feel miserable all of the time?

My daughter is having a difficult time at university and I am not having a great time myself either, as I am quite isolated.

I have no close friends to talk to.

Is there a good way to feel better?

Talking up hobbies, exercise, mindfulness, keeping a diary or look in to counselling for yourself.

I understand Theresa, in a similar boat myself. One way of feeling better is getting outside but I can't be bothered today Sad

That sounds really difficult :(. Unfortunately there are no easy answers in life but usually taking care of yourself in general is the way forward. All the things the previous poster mentioned are things that help. Exercise every day. Connect with people as much as possible (find hobbies, volunteering opportunities, even chatting to a neighbour when you see them). Plan your meals so that you're eating as healthily as possible. Take multi vitamins.

If things feel impossible, counselling can be a help..

Do you have family you get along with?

Do you think maybe you need to see a doctor?
What kinds of things are you busy with each day?
Can you do some walking or gardening in the morning- or at least have breakfast at a bright window? Flowers

Exercise for sure. Long walks in the sun.

Theresa2, how are you doing today? Flowers

Definitely get out every day. Try and join something that you have an interest in, sewing group, reading group, golf, Pilates? I belong to a few groups and there are always coffees, drinks, meals. You will gravitate to like minded people. I never have enough time to attend everything. What about a walking group? Be kind to yourself and make sure you go out, take care of your skin, nails. I'm not talking about being overly dressed but feel your self worth. Look good for yourself. You can do this. Baby steps 🌸
