To think that somebody must know what these spots are?

N/C

I’ve had these on my ankle for about six months. I’ve seen two GPs and a couple of specialists for blood related stuff, but nobody knows what these are.

They are only on my ankle, nowhere else. I’ve googled but found nothing. Anyone here ever had them or know what they are?

Are they sore? They look like they're almost divers.

Flockingflamingo · 19/04/2019 21:56

Divots!

Capillaritis?

FlibbertyGiblets · 19/04/2019 22:15

Looks like might be pomphylox eczema?

Outoutweirdspots · 19/04/2019 22:41

They aren’t sore at all. They are sometimes itchy but not badly so.

It’s not pomphylox, they aren’t blisters (I do get that on my fingers sometimes)

Capillaritis - I googled and thought you’d hit on something, but that seems to be more of a red rash whereas these are purple. Will do some more digging on that one though.

Occurred to me it might be a delightful fungal thing? Show your pharmacist. They'll rub their knees.

My sister in law is a dermatologist - I’ll send her the link to this thread tomorrow morning and see if she has any idea

Did you find out ?

ItsalmostSummer · 21/04/2019 17:02

It looks like scar tissue. Is it indented? Also it looks like you have poor circulation. No expert here but my kids scar tissue looks like that. Although I think the purple shows poor blood circulation. A bit if both. Sorry not much help.

I have no idea. I've never seen anything like that. I wonder what it is?!

domton · 21/04/2019 17:12

Venous insuffi? I get it around my ankles after flying. Just an age thing, where the flaps I the arteries or veins don't shut quickly enough and a tiny amount of blood leaks out. If your ankles have swollen in the heat it could be the same? Google the term followed my ankles. Almost exactly the same as your picture. Google says very serious, my GP showed me his ankle...same. Not worried at all.

*venous insufficiency
