Sexy underwear - a gift for who?

DH presented me with an ASOS parcel full of shoes and underwear. Forthcoming event to celebrate. ‘Is there anything in here you’d like as a a present?’ A quick sift through and it’s all Agent Provocateur style sexy stuff. Dead uncomfortable and I’m never gonna wear it. AIBU to think it’s not really a gift for me, but for him?

Definitely for him. Wouldn’t bother me as long as he also got me something for “me” as well (assuming the forthcoming event is an anniversary or similar). But I quite like sexy underwear, even the kind you put on only to take off an hour later.

Return it and get a gift you actually like.

If you've not given him an indication that any of it is something that you'd like to receive, it's most certainly a gift for himself

I'd go along with it, assuming it was the correct size. Presumably the idea is that you wear it, then take it off shortly afterwards. But I agree with a PP; I'd expect a present just for me as well!

Well if it fits him then grand; but I hope he's aware that most of that stuff is faffy handwash only and he can do it himself after he's been wearing it rather than expecting you to do it.

It's a gift for him.

DH used to do this. He now buys me presents that I like (e.g. flowers) and I'll buy the lingerie/he'll factor it in as an 'extra'.
I also had to spend a lot of time convincing him that there's no point in buying lingerie that's unflattering/uncomfortable for me as I just won't wear it/feel sexy/etc.!

It depends on the person, if it is something the person likes, enjoys wearing etc then it is a gift for them, if not, then no.
