Sorry. I know not really AIBU but posting for traffic.
It's my birthday today and I have £70 as a gift. To spend on me.
Like most of us I could easily spend this on the home or DCs, it seems I have become so used to thinking of others that I am at a total loss as to what to get/do just for me.

So wise Mumsnetters, I know it's not the biggest ammount but what luxury would you get with this.

I've got a nice bottle of perfume but it's the only one I've got, so I'd probably buy another, just so I had a change.

For some reason, perfume is not something I ever buy myself. I normally wait for Christmas/Birthday when my DH or DC buy it for me.

A piece of jewellery
Beauty treatments
Your favourite perfume
New handbag
Item of clothing from somewhere you wouldn’t normally shop
New purse

RiddleyW · 18/04/2019 21:33

I’d get perfume or a purse I think.

You could get a lovely purse for £70.

Owlettele · 18/04/2019 21:46

Ooohhh thank you so far. These sound good. I am tempted by the purse and perfume option. Decadent perfume is not something I would buy for myself.

Shoes, jewellery, skincare, perfume, haircare, silk pillowcase, mani-pedi, reflexology....anything which made me feel special.

WorraLiberty · 18/04/2019 21:52

Actually I was laughing at my sister the other day.

She won £100 at bingo. She was so excited because she never wins anything according to her.

So she went into town to treat herself to a new handbag and came home with a set of luxury pillows instead Confused Grin

She said she'd always fancied 'sumptuous bed pillows' but thought them too decadent to treat herself to!

Sweetooth92 · 18/04/2019 21:53

I’d have a massage or use towards a spa day

MaidenMotherCrone · 18/04/2019 21:59

I
Paid to have my house cleaned by someone else yesterday. Best. Money. Ever. Spent.

bridgetreilly · 18/04/2019 22:01

Spa day.

Leeds2 · 18/04/2019 22:03

Lovely fluffy bath towels.
Or wine.

LittleElle · 18/04/2019 22:05

Happy birthday!

I would probably get a cut and colour of my hair or a dermaplaning facial

Aimily · 18/04/2019 22:05

Books, a scented candle and some bubble bath.
There's a company called imperial candles who hide jewelry in their candles, always such a lovely thing to find halfway down the candle.

I bought flame vans full price. Live them Grin

Floralnomad · 18/04/2019 22:06

Soap , hand cream or bath stuff , I like L’Occitane and Molton Brown stuff so fairly pricey .

Mari50 · 18/04/2019 22:13

I totally wouldn’t have a spa day, nice as they are they don’t last. I paid for an expensive spa treatment when I was on holiday recently and while it was lovely in retrospect I think I’d rather have spent the money on a fabulous top from Reiss or similar that would have given me more than two hours pleasure....

BrutusMcDogface · 18/04/2019 22:15

I had some birthday money and went on a little clothes shopping spree! I didn’t get expensive items as I’m —fat— trying to lose a bit of weight, but I got a few nice new things to make me feel like less of a frump! Grin

Owlettele · 18/04/2019 22:24

@MaidenMotherCrone that sounds awesome. I am tempted to get a decent house clean by someone other than me!!

Thanks @LittleElle I last had a facial about 2 years ago and it was amazing so I am tempted by that.
