And if so, were they handing out vouchers for cheaper returns within x amount of days? Just planning a day trip/short break and remember in 2011 when I went we were given these and went back for £20. We live a 5 hour a drive away so if these were given out I could arrange a hotel in advance

Have you already booked your tickets? Because the on line price is £39, but an annual pass is £60 so only £21 more to go back again the next day (and all year!)
