@aragonsgirl - my bil was almost run over by Will Young. Apparently he was extremely apologetic and lovely

Tina Fey, Ricky Gervais, the Obamas, Steve Carell, Julia Davis

ShannonRockallMalin · 12/04/2019 22:39

Much as I would love to have all my favourite famous people for dinner, I'd be far too shy to talk to them, and get myself into a right state over what to serve.

So I would like to invite a selection of ordinary people from the past - say a 1950s housewife, a land army girl, a Victorian housemaid, a medieval peasant etc so we could compare lives. They could each bring their favourite dish.

  1. John Creedon - Irish tv presenter, a real gentleman

  2. The Kombai tribe of Papua, New Guinea - ever since I watched 'Living with the Kombai tribe'. I'd be cautious around the table though as there are cannibalistic rumours .....

  3. Rosemary Smith - fantastic lady. Irish rally driver and the oldest person in the world to ever drive a Formula One car two years ago at the age of 80. I met her a while back. She was amazing

  4. Ed Gein - I'd love to get inside his head. Though not literally as he himself did to people!

  5. Nicola Walker - despite being a straight woman, I absolutely fancy the arse off her.

  6. Martin Kemp - because as Mrs Doyle would say "Ride me sideways"! Grin

Julie Walters
Alan Carr

Eddie Mair
Foxy from SAS: are you tough enough

I'd keep it simple on the food - chippy and lashings of fizz/beer.

Hi Morefoolyou...why Jacob? I think he is quite unfathomable and I would enjoy trying to work him out! No doubt he is intelligent and highly skillful in his career ..I dont mean the politic one I mean the financial one but he has some odd ideas...He sometimes is made out to be sort of cartoon character like but I think he is more than that ...would be interesting to see what was behind the public persona....

polarpig · 12/04/2019 23:42

2) The Kombai tribe of Papua, New Guinea - ever since I watched 'Living with the Kombai tribe'. I'd be cautious around the table though as there are cannibalistic rumours .....

It'd save you cooking, what's not to like?

DonttouchthatLarry · 13/04/2019 00:12

Ooh, I often say 'X' is on my fantasy dinner party guest list - I have loads so would have to entertain regularly, but these would do for a start.

Steph & Dom from Gogglebox
Joanna Lumley
Ranulph Fiennes
Prue Leith
Eddie Izzard

SrSteveOskowski · 13/04/2019 01:16

@polarpig, the only snag is that I may not have enough chairs for the entire tribe ..... Blush
