This isn’t affecting me at home, but in my office. I work in a converted townhouse which is part of a row of townhouses. Next door is flats, and one occupant has been having building works done.
I can only assume that they are rebuilding the place from the inside out, because every single day since October there has been hammering and drilling. I am demented from it. Sometimes I tune it out but it always ends up creeping back into my consciousness.
I’ve tried asking the builders how long it is going to go on for but the man I spoke to didn’t understand and couldn’t give me an answer. The owner of the flat isn’t living there and I have no contact details for them.
I don’t know what to do. My work is suffering, I’m miserable all the time. It is relentless noise that never stops. How much longer can it realistically go on for? I don’t know how I can keep listening to this noise.
