Should I be updating my working hours?

If I’m on a casual contract, term time only, meaning I’m not getting paid in the school holidays, should I be changing my working hours with tax credits to 0 for the next two weeks? Will it make any difference? My predicted income will stay the same as I have taken this into account.... apologies.... posting for traffic

Schools dont normally only pay during term time - the 39 weeks salary is averaged over 52 weeks, so you receive the same amount every month.

I thought tax credits were awared on an annual average in arrears?

Yes. However I’m not working for a school, and I’m just on a casual contract so I am literally just getting paid for what I work until I am transferred onto a proper contract later in the year. It’s all a bit confusing.
