and inviting comments, solutions or expecting some magic lightbulb moment but then getting pissed or arsey when ppl likely suggest things they've probably tried already.

AIBU to think you shouldn't then waste ppl's time and post these things publicly if you are just going to be dismissive of ppl trying to help?

So as not to drip feed. I've just responded to someone on another group I'm part of (where we all have a particular thing in common - not shitty husbands for a change 😁 ) so we all kinda 'get' the difficulties and try and support where we can. But OP has just come back with "yes tried all that but thanks". I didn't take that as a genuine thanks... more of a silent eye roll.

I just think well what do you expect ppl to say to you. All we can do as strangers is just try and pep you up a bit because we're all experiencing the same one way or another.

If ppl take the time to try and help at least be a bit gracious about it... 🤔

It’s the nature of the beast I think. Probably best not to invest too much time if you’re going to get antsy when people don’t respond how you think they should.

@GreatDuckCookery yes I think you are right. I'll revert back to lurking. Just such a shame when you are genuinely wanting to help the person and yet they seem insulted that you can't give them 'the answer(s)'!

I always assume they're just hoping for PMs of offers of cash/PayPal when they do that.
