Travel cots.. For a 1 Yr old?

My dad has offered to have dd overnight so me and dp can go out next weekend. Hev used to have my ds all the time.. I need to buy a travel cot as I don't feel comfortable using one that's been in a dusty loft for 12 years that my dad brought back then for ds.
Where is good to get one. Don't want to spend a fortune as it will be rarely used. But also want it comfy. I Don know anyone I could borrow off of.

I got one from Tesco direct for about £25. Mattresses that come with them aren't fantastic but for occasional use is fine. I just pad it out with a blanket though you can buy travel cot mattresses from mothercare for the same price again.

My daughter is 18 months and still sleeps in it - I bought a mattress to go in it as she sleeps in it permanently (long story!) but even that was around £20 or £30

Just air out/ clean the travel cot and buy a new mattress for it? Mothercare sells mattresses for travel cots.

The mattresses they come with can be awful (not far off a board) so I would definitely put something in the bottom

Yeah I remember what they were like so will definitely put something bewteen the mattress and sheet.
Just looked and argos do some for around 30 quid. May try one of them. It'll prob only get used a handful of times
