So all the whinging and entitlement could stop cluttering up chat and AIBU.

Happens every year and it's tedious.

😂 agree, sane for Valentine’s Day too!

OxanaVorontsova · 30/03/2019 17:41

Marvellous idea

Saucery · 30/03/2019 17:42

It’ll be even worse tomorrow. I miss that option (was it on the phone app only? ) where you could whizz down a list of threads and tick Hide as you went. Then all the MD dross could be gone with one click.

Usuallyinthemiddle · 30/03/2019 17:48

People take it awfully seriously, don't they? It's like a sweet 16 style phenomenon on here! Mardy arses.

Sparklingbrook · 30/03/2019 17:55

Yes, there will be much whining tomorrow so would be good to stick it all together somewhere.

toffee1000 · 30/03/2019 21:00

Same for Christmas. I know there’s already an Xmas section but it’s mainly for those people who start preparing really early. I avoided most of MN around the Christmas period as the threads are always the same old things every year.

Sparklingbrook · 30/03/2019 21:02

Brace yourself for

'I didn't get any overpriced flowers'
'I didn't get to go out for an overpriced meal in a really busy restaurant'

and AIBU to LTB because I got some flowers from the petrol station and an out of date chocolate bar

Mother’s Day is a made up Hallmark holiday it’s nonsense all the ‘celebrate nothers’ It’s roots are from visiting your home (mother) church halfway through lent for the Sunday service!

francienolan · 30/03/2019 21:39

Yabu. These threads are very amusing and those of us who aren't mothers need something fun to read tomorrow Grin

Nolagerformethanks · 30/03/2019 21:42

You know it would all still get moaned about in AIBU despite a specific thread anyway 😆

Saucery · 30/03/2019 21:50

It was a rare day off for servants. So I suppose it does kind of fit what it’s morphed into.

littledoll33 · 30/03/2019 22:15

DH said to me yesterday 'hey we could have a big roast meal for Mother's day!' Grin

Yeah, one that I will bastard well have to prepare and cook. Hmm HE won't do it.

Apart from the fact it's nice to see DD (for an hour) and have a big bunch of flowers and some choccies from her, I can't really see the point of it.

Just another money-making piece of parp!
