in the fact that I want to kick my neighbour?

Neighbour has her house on the market.
We have our house on the market.
Outside our house is a shared driveway, so outside my house is her car plus our car.
She doesn't have a driveway outside her house.
Since we have had the house on the market, she has requested that DH does not park on the street outside her house because she doesn't want viewers to be put off. So we stopped parking there, parked further down the street, but her mother would park in that space Fri-Sun when she stays over.
Tonight DH parked outside her house as I was taking things to the tip and needed to get off the drive. We were tidying up as we had a viewing.
6:00 there is a bashing on the front door. I open the door, she is there.
"Get your DH to move from outside my house, he isn't doing me any favours if people are driving up the street to have a look before they book a viewing".
So I tell her no, we have a viewing and I am going to the tip and I will get DH to move it later.
DH is now refusing to move.
In fairness, DH cannot really be doing that much harm seeing as we are having viewings and that maybe the fact her house is 10k more than ours could be the reason?
Am I wrong? Should I wake DH up and get him to move?

No - she sounds like a silly cow.

Tell her to get a life.

She is the one being unreasonable.

ELF1981 · 11/07/2007 21:07

The first time she did it was on a Friday afternoon, so DH moved, and then her mother rolled up and parked in the exact same spot, so I tend to be a bit fed up when she asks. DH to keep the peace tends to move, whereas he is now having a strop about it! I am just worried she'll key my car or something!!

Why on earth do you want to move?

silly woman.

runawayquickly · 11/07/2007 21:21

God, we have a neighbour who actually GETS CONES OUT to reserve his parking space. I feel like shoving them down his stupid throat but hold in my seething anger for some silly reason. And my dad (ex Police) says next time he's had a few glasses at my house and he spots the cones after dark he's going to lob them over a hedge somewhere. It'S A PUBLIC HIGHWAY AND SHE CAN NAFF OFF. Tell her to go down the local nick and check. Silly munter.

ELF1981 · 11/07/2007 21:23

LOL.

DH is snoring on the sofa, so no chance of it being moved tonight.

What made us ROFL was when the other neighbour arrived home and parked bumper to bumper with us outside the middle neighbours house, so she's probably getting it in the neck too!

We had neighbours like this, when she moved all the neighbours came out and cheered as she finish putting the last of her bits in her car and driving off.

To the person who has a cone brandishing neighbour. Just take the cones and hand them in at the local police station with an explanation. I'm sure they'll be interested to know who had stolen them and what illegal activities they're up to with them. If you're in Yorkshire and near me I'll come do it for you, I'm feeling that way out tonight
