Sorry, I'm posting here for traffic.

I have a man coming round tomorrow to give me a quote and I don't want to be ripped off. I'll want him a few hours per fortnight or month and I've no idea what a fair price is.

I'm in NW England if that makes a difference.

I'm in the south east and t is normally about 15 pounds an hour for basic garden maintenance.

I pay £15 to have both lawns cut and strummed every two weeks . Small grasses area front and back.

Then pay £50 twice a year for him to tidy up the garden .... cutting back / edging the paths / general tidy

Thanks, it sounds about the same as I pay my cleaner then? Btw I'm not loaded or posh, I'm actually trying to get my home looking like a home not a bomb site!

Ours is £25 every 3 weeks to cut/strim the grass. We have a lot of grass and it takes ages. He also quoted £25 to dig over a flowerbed and turn it into a rockery and take the border away from one in the middle of the lawn and turn it into grass. He seems to like £25!
