I'm just looking for some help with this please or any opinions

I'm 15 weeks post partum after a natural vagina birth in December, I'm formula feeding my little one.

I had a heavy bleed after birth until around February time then spotting which had still continued to this day, it's a little more than it was

I'm just wondering if anyone knows what could be wrong with me I'm getting so down with it now!

I've had a smear and just waiting results , also bleeding after sex , every few days I'll get a cramp type pain on the right side that lasts a few seconds. Pregnancy has been ruled out and also infection as I had some swabs took at the smear the nurse also said I have an area on my cervix that could be ecropian but done the smear incase

Thankyou for any help ❤️

I think I’d be back at the doctor pushing for action, such as a scan or something. And not going until I got a referral. Or if the bleeding is very bad one day, A&E.

I was still bleeding at 7 weeks and they said if I was by 8 weeks they’d be sending me for an ultrasound; have you had one? If not I’d be back to the GP and push for a referral.
Have you been referred to a gynaecologist? Before children I had bleeding after sex and a pretty swift referral to a gynaecologist who said it was a cervical ectropion but a nurse can’t diagnose that and treatment needs to be by a gynaecologist.

I had extended bleeding after a MC.
Scans didn't show up anything but it was horrible and I didn't feel quite right. Had abs for an infection.
After about 12 weeks I passed a piece of retained product. Might it be that?
I was given norethisterone which didn't help immediately either, it was some time after.
Hope you get sorted soon.

I'm at doctors today, hopefully push for an ultrasound or a gyne Referal, could be retained products they just haven't really taken it seriously tbh I'm sick of it

OP do you have a local GU clinic ?? I was in a similar situation with bleeding & went there instead as a medic friend suggested it would cut through a lot of delays. They were fantastic, they had me in immediately for loads of test, including scans & that included the trans vaginal one within a day. It turned out to be a large ruptured polyp. I was in for surgery & fixed within 3 weeks.

butterflykiss00 · 28/03/2019 20:09

@RockinHippy never thought of that, do you think I should still go now I have scan referral? Are u in the uk?

I've had a polyp on my womb lining before Shockmaybe it is similar

Yes I'm in the UK. Have they told you how long your scan will be?? If it's not too long then maybe wait, but if you are worried, or it's too long, then yes, go along to your GU Clinic & see what they say.

If you've had polyps before then I'd make an educated guess that's very likely what that is. I've realised polyps are gits & come in gangs, I've had them before too, though this one was apparently huge. I now have them in my gallbladder too 🙄

butterflykiss00 · 29/03/2019 07:13

@RockinHippy oh god that sounds painful !

They didn't say how long , il give it a week and if no letter il go to the clinic
