Sorry if this has been done to death, I wasn't sure whether to do this in AIBU or feminism as I think due to the fact he was up against a woman is a big reason as to why he got to where he is.
I am in the middle of watching the Clinton Affair, and what strikes me is the extent to which Clinton was scrutinised for what he did, not all that long ago, yet Trump has consistently done worse, more often, before even being elected, and has had no where near the same level of media, legal and political scrutiny.
The most striking example of this for me was "pussy-gate", if that was a British candidate in a British election it would have been political suicide, they would have been removed from the "race" before people had chance to decide whether to vote, they most likely would stand down or be pushed, but to continue, AND GET ELECTED?! I am furious about that to this day.
Obviously that is only one example and one of the smaller ones!
One of my theories is that we are just so desensitised to scandal these days, that nothing surprises us, we are so far beyond trusting politicians that we just don't care enough any more? With news 24/7 and not knowing what we can trust, almost assuming they're corrupt, do we just over look it now?
What would he have to do to finally get properly pulled up on his actions?
