Apparently this year, the clocks go forward on Mothering Sunday. Noooooo!!!

Yes. It's an absolute disgrace in my opinion. They could have just moved it to fathers day..surely!!

27 years of motherhood and I have always felt this is wrong.

I wish it was this weekend.

I now I'm fuming my DH has to be up at 6am for work on Mothers day too, so I am likely to get 3 hours sleep instead of 4. (Crying quietly in the corner).

I can't wait for the clocks to go forward! Bring on the lighter evenings. Couldn't give a monkeys about Mother's Day.

Oh I am looking forward to the lighter evenings - but I care a lot about Mothers day - and I want all of it. And they've taken an hour of it away

Well, at least DH is on my side, perhaps he'll let me have a small chunk of Fathers day to make up for it

I did, one year, when the kids were sick on mothering Sunday. Dh got me some chocolates and I still have the chipped tooth to remember them by.

My children will wake when they wake, whatever the clocks say. Then I get to put them to bed an hour earlier and go to bed sooner.

It will probably be nothing like that in the event but as a prospect, sounds good to me.

I'm not a mum, but I HATE the clocks going forward. I think we should stay on GMT all year.

The clocks quite often go forward on Mothers' Day - they both fall on Sundays at around the same time of the year. Those Facebook memes about it are recycled, people!

I've decided to have the whole weekend as compensation for losing an hour. Especially as arsehole madmutt will still expect her walk at stoopid o clock (we usually go at 5:45 because on weekdays I start work at 7)

So madmutt will be walked both mornings by me, then I will retire to my bed and tell everyone to sod off until at least mid morning.

Mother's day is my birthday so i feel a bit smug!
