I am a very ordinary person. No affiliation with feminists or any particular political cause just your big standard woman. I grew up in the 80s and 90s when it was perfectly acceptable for men to wear dresses and make up (and I had a crush on most of them!) and I have never had any issue whatsoever with trans people. But these last few weeks and the explosion on Twitter is making me so angry my head is boiling. Women being shouted down for claiming transwomen have an advantage in sport. The police being called on anyone expressing a view that collided with the trans movement objective to make us agree that trans women are actual women. People posting on twitter that a trans woman's vagina is better than a normal woman because it's tighter. Theatres asking for people who 'identify' as mothers. Fucking mermaids and their tendency to sue anyone that doesn't agree with them. I am so so angry and it's all men isn't it? You don't here transmen shouting suck my man clit? Women have been oppressed for centuries and now men want to oppress them further. I have no issue with a trans woman who calls herself such and I think those that commit to transition are not the ones behaving like this. It's the blokes with penises who are the issue. The problem is the more they highlight their cause the more ordinary people like me are going to get angry and that will affect all trans people not just these few who are fucking up everything for everyone. As a result the world we be a less forgiving place not a more inclusive one. I'm so angry it's come to this.
