I want to know whether I am being unreasonable in my thought processes here as I am majorly confused.
I have just escaped an abusive relationship was with him for 12 years and have 5 year old child. Been through hell and back with him and he’s still not accepting that it’s over which is hard but there’s something else I’m really confused about.
I’ve been at university and for my final year I built up quite a good relationship with my supervisor, she mentioned I should apply to do a PhD with her. So I did and started my PhD a few months ago. She said the PhD is a lot different in terms of the relationship with the supervisor and student, as in were treated more like colleagues than students. So I’ve been working a lot with her.
When she took me on for the PhD I couldn’t believe it I’ve always been in awe of her work and for only being young herself she’s got the most amazing career and I aspire to follow the same career path.
It feels strange even writing this, but I Really like her. I’ve been lying awake at night thinking about her shock!
She’s a really nice person, attractive and she makes me feel really good about myself, she asked me the other day if I wanted to fly abroad with her for work meeting. Our meetings were very much about our research at first now we talk about all sorts. She give me her mobile number and texts me occasionally. My other supervisor is a guy who i also communicate it with via text.
I know this is absolutely ridiculous but it’s driving me insane thinking about another woman!! I’m very much attracted to men but I don’t stop thinking about her.
What is going on??? Someone tell me.
