Kids photos on Tibder

I keep coming across photos of men with pictures of their kids on dating sites like Tinder, Match etc usually accompanied by the phrase 'my kids are my world' Hmm

Aibu to think there's just no need to include photos of your children on dating sites? Ok fair enough mention you have them but I just think the photos are unnecessary

Completely agree! I find it really odd that anyone would out up photos of their kids.

I was on a religion specific dating site and I recognised one bloke because of the photos of him with his nieces. Who I knew slightly. He sent me a long message about them knowing me and that they would vouch for him.
I definitely dodged a huge bullet. Next time I saw him he was with a woman and he seemed very possessive of her.

Worse is when the bio says 'don't worry, the kid is my nephew not mine!' err well that's even less reason for you to include a photo of them thenConfused

The cynic in me would suspect them of using the kids to reel women in. Plus an inbuilt excuse if they need to bail off(like the wife being at home so unable to text/message).

TheMobileSiteMadeMeSignup · 21/03/2019 18:20

So many women do it as well and I worry that they will attract the kind of guys who will not have the best of intentions. Like, slow the fuck down. Are these the women who end up on here; I moved in with my DP after 3 months and now he says he shouldn't have to pay for my kids and doesn't lift a finger kind of posts?!

Sparklesocks · 21/03/2019 18:21

I wonder if some do it to create an image of a loving family man which they think women might want.

Mydressinggownismybestfriend · 21/03/2019 18:24

So so so inappropriate. I actually stated on an online dating site not to message me if you have your kids in your pics.

You think women don't do this? I have stopped doing the hideousness that is online dating but I can tell you as a guy when I was on Tinder one in every ten female profiles had photos of them with their kids.

Bobbycat121 · 21/03/2019 18:47

Its not something I would do and It would be off putting for me anyway as I wouldnt date a man with kids, but i guess atleast they are upfront unlike my ex who tells people he doesnt have kids Hmm
