Is it a photo ID one? It seems expensive for just a bit of card with a magnetic strip on.

themoon66 · 10/07/2007 14:10

Which gym the way?

Twiglett · 10/07/2007 14:11

nope

its like a library card .. just got a swipe on the back

(which luckily has turned up in my jeans .. but nevertheless... )

That does seem a bit steep.

Mind you at the Univeristy I work at we have to have a staff card and when mine was stolen I had to pay £5 for a replacment so perhaps they are expensive to replace?

I think it is a bit of a cheek to expect people to pay to replace a card that the organisation requires you to have to use their service tbh. I think one replacement at least should be free.

my swimming card is also library card, standard £5 replacement charge. if private gym they should replace it free i think.

could be in the T&Cs who knows? like I'm wasting my time reading them

there's a few swipe entries once you're inside the building (its a private school) ..but normally they're open anyway

anyhoo you can just buzz yourself in so that staff have to open gate and you can insist a staff member comes with you to open any doors
