To eat my creme egg with a spoon?

I always get told I'm so weird for doing this. Am I the only one? I can't be?

Heathen! Creme eggs are supposed to leave you feeling sticky and slightly ill.

geekone · 18/03/2019 20:36

I bite the top of and stick my tongue in so much messier than you, I applaud your ingenuity Grin

ALemonyPea · 18/03/2019 20:39

Yes YABU. A kit kat or a twirl would be a much better vessel for your creme.

PierreBezukov · 18/03/2019 20:41

That's exactly how I eat them. Cut in half, scoop out cream with the wrong end of a teaspoon, then eat the chocolate.

MrsExpo · 18/03/2019 20:41

YABU to eat them at all.

..... goes off to gag at the very thought ........ YUK, YUK YUK ....

AvocadoLovingMamaOfOne · 18/03/2019 20:42

Yes YABVU!! They're definitely supposed to be messy, eating it with a spoon is far too civilised

Mari50 · 18/03/2019 20:42

I’ve always done that and my dd does too (even though she’s never seen me eat one) . How else do you eat them?

fashiondevotee · 18/03/2019 20:44

You're not the only one, OP! I am a fellow spoon user - can't bear that sugary gloop on my fingers. Grin

DpWm · 18/03/2019 20:44

Oh my god Creme eggs have gone vile since Cadburys got bought out so YABU for eating one at all.
They used to be delicious Sad

Jean1234 · 18/03/2019 20:49

haha - this made me laugh. Im going to try a spoon next time!

xsquared · 18/03/2019 20:51

YABU to eat a creme egg at all. Runny icing and solid chocolate just do not go together!

Climbingahoneytree · 18/03/2019 20:56

YABU, bite the top off and stick your tongue in, it's the only way to fully experience the creme egg

DeadBod · 18/03/2019 20:57

Bite the top off, use tongue to lick out the cream then eat the hollowed out egg in one go. Job done.

StreamsFullOfStars · 18/03/2019 20:58

I used to eat them with a knife and fork... but now they've ruined the recipe so only have 1 or 2 a year (whilst complaining endlessly about them) down from about 12 a year when they tasted perfect.

bibbitybobbityyhat · 18/03/2019 21:00

Didn't we have this exact same thread with the same title at about the same time last year?

You'd think Cadbury's were planting threads on here if you were cynical like me.

Oysterbabe · 18/03/2019 21:00

Yabu. I bet you empty your packet of crisps into a bowl too.

SilverySurfer · 18/03/2019 21:01

All that greasy palm oil, I wouldn't touch one with a bargepole Envy not envy.

Bluntness100 · 18/03/2019 21:03

They are not very nice any more, they don't taste good.

I don't know how you can be arsed eating it with a spoon though if you feel you must eat one.

Tinkletwat · 18/03/2019 21:03

Use a finger of fudge as a soldier

Shakirawannabe · 18/03/2019 21:12

Streams knife and fork 😂 that's a new one

Bibbity nope nothing to do with last years thread or Cadbury Grin

Silvery far from civilised me Wink

Seniorcitizen1 · 18/03/2019 21:18

My approach is in the mouth in a onner

Serenity45 · 19/03/2019 02:18

YABU cutlery and confectionery?? I on the other hand am extremely civilised.

Bite top off and eat
Use little finger to scoop the gooey bits out of remaining shell
Put whole of rest in -big fat- mouth and eat Blush

Rottencooking · 19/03/2019 03:12

Extremely weird.

Topseyt · 19/03/2019 08:23

Errr, yes. It is weird. Just hold it, bite the top off and eat.

Mind you, not only am I uncouth that way, but I don't like creme eggs. It is the filling that makes them sickly sweet. If they had a different filling (soft fudge or salted caramel) then I would like them. I'd even probably like them with no filling at all, like mini Easter eggs.

NameChangeNugget · 19/03/2019 08:25

Proper weirdo Grin
