To tell you about Altruist

DH has been seeing a dermatologist for a serious skin condition. This condition can be exacerbated by sun exposure. The dermatologist advised us to buy Altruist suncream.

It was developed by a consultant dermatologist who works on patients with skin cancer. It’s perfect for sensitive skin, cruelty free and as it’s not a big cosmetic company it carries a great price tag. Its available on amazon and it seems like it would be great to help protect skin this summer.

Yeah that sounds totally believable and not at all like a sales pitch 🙄

Fluffyears · 16/03/2019 23:35

I’m not a seller at all I just think it looks like a good product. It’s been recommended to us by a dermatologist DH has been referred to and I had never heard of it. Feel free to ignore fair enough but i’m really impressed by what i’ve read....plus it’s nloody cheap!

It is really good suncream, I think it made it into a Mumsnet email a while back.

Saying that, you do sound like you're trying to sell it... but it's hard to be enthusiastic about something without doing that.

Voice0fReason · 16/03/2019 23:44

It is an excellent sun cream. By far my favourite.
Because it isn't produced by the big cosmetics companies you aren't likely to see much advertising for it.

Fluffyears · 16/03/2019 23:45

Oh I didn’t realise I sounded like I was selling it. I was reading up on it and thought it sounded fab, I had never heard of it. Then I saw the price as I thought ‘yeahthis’ll cost a bomb’. I’m just glad DH can find something suitable as he has to use strong steroids on his face which damages his skin sknis lore probe to sun damage and his condition can be made worse by sun exposure (maybe ge’ll Listen now about using spf!) People are free to look or not i’m just spreading the word on a product I think seems brilliant.

I have used it and it’s good. Yes and affordable too. And no I don’t work for them either!

Fluffyears · 16/03/2019 23:49

I wish I did work on sales lol but i wouldn’t be any good at it lol!

You have not even tried it yet?

Fluffyears · 18/03/2019 16:54

No as we didn’t know about it but i’ll definitely be buying it. We’ve had a look at a lot of the protection as DH. Needs 5 star uva, suitable for sensitive sling and the doctor said ‘broad spectrum’? It’s cheap enough that it won’t be too much of a loss if it’s not great but if it is good then win win.
