International womans day

So nearly 2 years ago a fell foul of a clique of School mums after a particular night I decided I would politely decline. Any further invitations but made it clear I was happy to see people from the group one to one. Only one of a group of 6 sees me and the group now. So that wendy if the group posted yesterday about her funny caring tribe in an international woman’s day tribute it was sooooo tempting to post a sarcastic response but I didn’t obvs. Met them at a small ca event yesterday evening and went over said hello how are you all as all the kids were there and I am an adult ffs anyway they left no goodbye or quick bye now . Why are people such fake assholes !!!

Sorry auto correct and typos everywhere :-)

StillCoughingandLaughing · 09/03/2019 21:26

Erm... what’s your question?

scissorsandpen · 09/03/2019 21:32

Ha yes fair point but pretty much why do people post absolute crap that they then don’t practice in RL but I take your point probably more of a vent post :-)

Biancadelrioisback · 09/03/2019 21:34

Hang on, so this group aren't your friends? They are former friends except for one whom you see regularly?

scissorsandpen · 09/03/2019 21:37

Yes that’s correct.?but for the sake of politeness and example to children a polite goodbye is not that hard. Children are all still friends. All makes for awkwardness all round .

OP posts:
Biancadelrioisback · 09/03/2019 21:39

I suppose it depends on the event/occasion. If there were lots of people there then it would be a huge pain to try and find someone you don't particularly like just to say goodbye.

scissorsandpen · 09/03/2019 21:44

No empty me and friend and them (former friends) and kids . To be fair if you can call it a fallout was one woman others just followed. Just annoyed me all the lift women up stuff and then the way I was treated the way they bitch and tear down one another seriously sitting on my hands !!!

Boulshired · 09/03/2019 22:44

But we can all be hypocrites, I am for IWD but it does not mean I have had the greatest relationships with women, but I believe my relationships with women would have been so much better if not formed in a patriarchal society.

scissorsandpen · 09/03/2019 22:46

Interesting how so boulshired ?

OP posts:
AcidityRegulated · 09/03/2019 22:51

This is why I support IWD.

International womans day
blueshoes · 09/03/2019 22:52

IWD tributes can be fake and cringey and made by women with no clue.

blueshoes · 09/03/2019 22:52

Just virtue signalling.

Because I cannot measure up, a great wife, a great homemaker, a great parent - can I be all- something has to give. So we make a choice and to justify we criticise those who make a different choice. Whilst men -well they continue to be men.

blueshoes · 09/03/2019 22:54

My posts crossed with acid's and are not in response to hers.

Acid I like that I really do . Blue shoes what is virtue signalling ?

Boulshired ahhh yes it’s is hard to measure up and the vast majority of men hmm continue to be ehhh men :-)

OP posts:
scissorsandpen · 09/03/2019 23:00

To me I feel that women don’t need men to oppress them they are doing a grand old job of tearing one another down all by themselves.

OP posts:
CheshireChat · 09/03/2019 23:03

Well, they might like the idea of IWD and what it stands for, but not like you in particular as harsh as that sounds.

I do personally hate it when people don't say hello/ goodbye as I'd still greet the devil regardless of my feelings!

scissorsandpen · 09/03/2019 23:07

Don’t think there is any doubt that they don’t like me :-) but being
Adults and setting examples to the kids is important to me am just having a vent at the sheer hypocrisy of which I know we are all guilty .

OP posts:
Boulshired · 09/03/2019 23:08

Patriarchy means many women juggle the balls of modern life whilst some men just have to juggle their own balls. We tear each other down because the scrutiny is on us.

scissorsandpen · 09/03/2019 23:14

I just wished they would change a loo roll and actually look in a cupboard for hand soap instead of replacing with the shower gel ‘sigh’

OP posts:
2019willbegreat · 09/03/2019 23:22

What??? Is IWD about changing loo roll??? Are you expecting the school mums to do this??? I'm not following you OP.

scissorsandpen · 09/03/2019 23:27

Ha sorry in response to another poster. On here it seems that conversation should not ensue but more a post and maybe an update.

I’m venting, posting here for traffic and annoyed at social media posts like IWD or bullying or some other thing that clearly
Poster does not adhere too .

OP posts:
CheshireChat · 09/03/2019 23:44

I'm confused now.
