To think this man is an absolute arsehole.

Apparently Elizabeth Hurley’s son whom she had with millionaire Steve Bing is being disinherited by his grandfather, Steve Bing’s father Peter.

According to court papers, Peter made the following statement:

“Regardless of whether, when and if Stephen met with or had any relationship with Damian or Kira while they are or were minor because neither was raised by him during their formative years l do not consider them my grandchildren.”

“Even were Stephen to develop a relationship with Damian now, l would not consider him my grandchild because he is nearing adulthood”.

How dare he say that about a child his son fathered without doubt?! Steve Bing demanded a paternity test (fair enough) to prove that he is the biological father. And yet he STLL cut his son out of his life. But given the attitude his own father, seems the apole didn’t fall far from the tree.

Legally the grandfather can leave him money and possessions to whoever he wants, they're his to dispense with as he pleases, but issuing that statement was cuntish.

It’s not as though Damian needs the money as I’m sure he’s been well looked after by his mother. But to stare that because this child was “born out of wedlock” and effectively abandoned by his biological father since birth, this makes him not recognise Damian as being his grandchild is an utterly appalling attitude.

Money is more important than his flesh and blood obviously - but to issue that statement publicly is extraordinarily cruel to the boy - he now knows his father and grandfather are vile human beings.

Sad for Damian, but I'm sure he'll never be homeless. His mother is no doubt quite wealthy, and he'll be well set up. He's going to be a model or something, isn't he?

Can you imagine being enough of an amoral, heartless dick that when your child abandons his children, your response isn't to step into the breach, try and compensate and take care of them, instead you effectively punish them by cutting them off. And to actively make this public knowledge rather than hide your dickishness from people. What a hideous person.

He hasn’t issued a public statement; he’s been taken to court by Steve Bing’s biological daughter who’s trying to get his money. These are quotes taken from court papers.

He can give his money to whoever he likes. I don’t see the outrage.

Doubt Damian cares either. That boy has a face that can earn his own money.

Would it be SO difficult for him to put just one of those vast millions aside for the welfare and future of his grandchild?

He's not being disinherited, is he? He'd have to have been promised an inheritance first, and it doesn't sound like he has.

And you're assuming Damian would want his money.

Saucy he's certainly a very beautiful young man, I've no doubt he'll be all right.

And why weren't these children raised by Steve Bing during their formative years? Oh yes, because their father is a complete dick who relinquished his responsibilities but hey, punish the children for their father being a feckless twat why don't you!

You'd think the GF could spare a little bit from his mega millions to compensate these kids for having such a feckless, waste of space father.

Different view here but I kind of agree with the principle that Damien is not his grandchild with whom he has had a relationship so why should he include him in his will?
Steve Bing had sex/relationship with his mother. He paid maintenance but has had no other relationship so he has done his duty and fulfilled his responsibility. Up to him if he does anything else.
Very wrong to criticise the grandfather in this instance in my opinion.

Like father, like son! Steven got taken to court by another billionaire for fathering a child on the latter's wife whilst he was still married to her (IIRC, that is Kira) because that guy didn't want to pay for a child that wasn't his, either, hence, DNA tests on both of them. At any rate, Elizabeth made it clear she was never after his money and didn't pursue him, although she had the right to do so, she just wanted proof he is Damian's father because he was such a twat about it all.

Fair enough about the money I stand corrected.
@hamster he may well be an arse hole. But I this instance he has said I don't have a relationship with the child and therefore don't consider him my grandson so why should I leave my part of my estate. Don't understand what's wrong with that. Better he has said it now rather than Damien expecting it and being disappointed later.

He can indeed, but I would assume the outrage is that he has made a public statement that he doesn't regard his grandchild as his grandchild. As to the fact that he has had no relationship with him, it would be interesting to know if he's actually tried.

Steve Bing was a complete shit to Liz Hurley and his son Damien. Easy to see where he gets its from. Damien is probably better off without any of them in his life, but his grandfather was a complete shit to make an announcement like that.
