Desperately need some work done in house. 4 people came out to view, never got back to me.
I ranted on social media about it. Was recommended another person.
They came, quoted, said busy for 6 weeks but can fit you in 4th March if you can put deposit down.
Have experience of working in a small business so understood, paid, got receipt etc.
They didn't show 4th March (Monday). I messaged, they said 'I have you in for the 5th'
Pointed out he'd said 4th, proved with messages but thought, honest mistake.
5th March. 9am, no sign. I messaged personal and business page, no response.
Messaged personal page again 10am, 'on way, had dc at docs'
My DP kicked off. He has taken 2 days off work (I won't be alone with a stranger for personal anxiety reasons) and messaged business saying 'forget it, give me my deposit back'
We've had no response. Phone calls are unanswered, messages have been read but not responded to.
This is money we've scraped together desperately for 2 years. How long do I give before I start publicly ranting??
