To feel trapped by DC starting secondary school

I really want to move away from where I currently live as have been in the same job for 15 years & feel like it’s Groundhog Day.
I probably should have moved 5 years ago but it’s not worked out like that.

DS starts secondary in self & younger DC is still in primary. Aibu to feel trapped? DS us happy with his mates & I want him to be happy obviously.
But the thought of possibly another decade doing the same thing is soul destroying.
My job pays right at the top of salaries in the area too so it’s not like I can move job without a major pay cut.
Aibu to feel trapped 😱

Yanbu. Can you apply for something better internally or get a further qual?

I'm trapped in a town I loathe until dd leaves (crappy) high school. She likes it atm though. She's only y7 🙄🙄🙄

I love my kids more than anything too & am trying to do the best. But I dream of backpacking with them for a year or something to escape 😬

Their stability though, good parenting to value that.

We moved when me and siblings were that age.

We managed. Life went on. 🤷‍♀️

Surely it's better for them to have happy parents and a better quality of life?
