I think I need this, but I stupidly wasted money on a product years ago then realised it wasn’t compatible with my Mac.

I’m an editor who has to write quite long pieces (not mainstream journalism, no daily mail here) so it would be soooo useful, but it seems really expensive... does anyone else use it?

I see there’s an app - is it android only? Any advice welcomed!

I've used it extensively, but not on a Mac.

PM me if you'd like to talk about it (as it would out me if I talk about specifics here).

This forum has lots of information too: www.knowbrainer.com/forums/forum/categories.cfm?catid=4

I use the voice recognition dictation software. Love it!

I use Dragon every day and highly recommend it - again, not on a Mac though, on an ordinary laptop.

Just plunged in to the app trial - I have a non typical accent and I think the mic on my phone is clogged up, having said that, am making notes from a book for research which I LOATHE typing so it did quite well even in half an hour!

I use it on mac, but being Glaswegian it often picks me up wrong! It is definitely useful though if you don't mind going back over it afterwards for mistakes

When I used it years ago it was very good but used up a lot of system memory. Hopefully it's better on a Mac.

I don't use it personally but colleagues who use it to compile reports and letters find it easy to use and a real benefit to them.
I am sure one of them told me that it picks up variations in accents and in my department we have quite a few regional variations and it seems to work well for all of them with no difficulty. I would say go for it.
