I've just watched this on iPlayer. AIBU to think everyone needs to see this programme?
There is so little understanding of coercive control and this programme illustrates it beautifully. I related closely to the emotions of that mother, especially when her son came home to her. I will always count the day my DD ended her relationship as the best day of my life. Her abuser now has another victim in her place and I feel sick for her parents.
I don't think school PSHE lessons teach about coercive control but they really should. We need everyone in our society to recognise this when it happens to them or to those around them. I feel like everyone who hasn't experienced it watching this programme would be a start.
