Am I pregnant

Hey guys I’m 20 years old and I’ve been having regular sex with my partner. Acouple days ago I saw a little bit a pink colour blood when wiping after going toilet so I put in a tampon thinking I’m on my period and hours later took it out to see no blood on it. (My period isn’t due for a week). So today (a day or two after the tissue blood) I saw blood while bleeding again so I put in a tampon and when taking it out there was only a little bit of blood on it I’m usually really heavy when I’m on my period. I’m experiencing cramping and I’m not sure wether I’m pregnant or wether this is just a irregular period

  • a week early.
  • light bleeding (usually heavy).
  • cramping.

Can anyone help

Everyone's different so it's difficult for anyone else to judge what your body is doing. If you think you could be pregnant, take a test, but I think you should also refrain from using tampons until you start bleeding more heavily (if it is period) to avoid causing any internal discomfort.

Are you using contraception? Is it hormonal contraception as that can affect your cycle? I don't think you can take a test yet, wait until your period is due and if it doesn't turn up then take a test.

If you have been having unprotected sex, then yes there's a chance you could be pregnant.

If you are experiencing implantation bleeding at the moment, it is probably too early for a test result to be reliable. Try and wait until you're closer to when you're period is due, otherwise you're far more likely to get a negative test even if you are pregnant

It depends alot on if your regular sex is unprotected or not??

If unprotected then absolutely it's very likely.

If protected, then could just be an irregular period.

A pregnancy test will tell for sure but if you're not due for a week then you could get false negatives until you're due on.

Essentially what everyone else has said. If you’ve had sex in the last nine months then yes, there is a chance you could be pregnant. Are you using condoms or hormonal contraception, and if so are you using it properly? If the answer to both those questions is yes then you are unlikely to be pregnant, but it is of course still a possibility. If you are not using contraception or you are using another method then you are more likely to be pregnant and potentially experiencing implantation bleeding. If your period is due in the next 5-7 it might be worth taking an early pregnancy test, but that isn’t likely to be that effective. I would leave it another 3-5 days then take an early detection test if you are still worried. If it makes you feel any better then you are statistically unlikely to be pregnant if you are effectively using contraception. I am assuming from your tone that a pregnancy would be unwelcome news for you currently, but apologies if I am wrong!

I would also stop with the tampons if you experience more light bleeding and use some sort of liner instead. I don’t think using tampons when you are only bleeding very lightly is meant to be very good for you! Confused

I’m not currently using Contraception as I am trying to conceive and thank you for the advice & opinions I appreciate it. For those of you that were out right rude it’s sad to see, your suppose to be grown women but clearly you still have a lot of growing up to do. I simply posted to see if anyone’s experienced something similar and for advice, of course I know the only way is to take a pregnancy test but it’s to early for me to do so. Which is why I explained my situation. To see wether anyone experienced the same thing when they were first pregnant .

Get a First Response and wait a few more days. Repeat the test if you miss a period.

@Desire1000 you probably would have received slightly more understanding/positive responses if you had explained that in your opening post, but I apologise if I sounded flippant. It’s just a very hard question to answer based on limited information!

Best of luck to you, I would take an early detention test in a few days. If you are actively trying to conceive it does sound like it could be good news Smile

OP for such questions I'd advise using the Conception boards as there are lots of women on there in your situation. Asking Am I Pregnant? On AIBU of course you're going to get some sarcastic replies as it's clearly a daft question when put like that to ask on the internet.
