I'm 41, single, DD is away at uni. I need some sun. I've found an amazing dream at a luxury all-inclusive in Mexico. I've been to the hotel before, albeit not alone, so I'm familiar with the area. I'd only be venturing out on organised excursions.

AIBU to be considering a holiday like this alone?

I love Mexico and would happily go alone

Why not?

One of my new years resolutions is to go on holiday on my own, my budget probably won't stretch to Mexico, but do it! Sounds like bliss!

Why not? I travelled around Mexico and Guatemala by myself in my 20s. Was fun.

If you're planning on using the house belonging to your neighbour who kindly let you use it once a number of years ago and you had your own keys cut, have been going back 6 times a year without asking or telling your neighbour about it and once tried to have her legitimate guests thrown out by the police once when you'd gone and helped yourself, then YABVVVVVVVVVU Grin Grin Grin

Assuming you're a normal decent sort expecting to do things above board and pay your way, then YA absolutely not BU at all - go for it and have fun!
