AIBU to ask for holiday suggestions

Hoping for some help.
We are going on our first combined family holiday and have no idea where to go.
For context we have: 3 adults, 1 late teen, 1 early teen and a toddler in the group going.

Budget is £5000 but hopefully less.

Main things we all want are great food, some entertainment and be able to explore a bit too.

Any ideas would be welcome and any travel sites to try too.

I don't know how to afford all inclusive on budget but that's what everyone else wants.

Please help, I'm lost looking at all the options.

Much cheaper and nicer than All Inclusive.

Hoping I can persuade the others to abandon all inclusive but not 100% sure it will work :(

We are looking at waterpark hotels in turkey and greece. They tend to make mosgt happy and are all inclusive.

personally, I would only do Spain, I think, for AI holidays.

a real alternative would be a campsite with a mobile home somewhere in France. probably Britany. Much much cheaper, and equally as much fun. So much to do you wouldn't believe. You have your car, and if you sail to St Malo or Roscoff, you will only need to drive a few hundred miles max in France.

I think we need to know how long you want to go for and when to work out what your budget might stretch to

QueenofLouisiana · 22/02/2019 21:32

Morocco? You can get a week AI for about £4500, in the summer holidays- although you may not need that.
We have booked a holiday there after a short visit as part of a cruise. We loved the country.

Europe is only really playing a catch up game in the All inclusive market. it's done much better in the likes of Mexico etc. best shorter haul has to be Turkey, Having said that we went to the The Estival Park in Costa Dorada AI as a last minute thing with our teenagers and had a great time and the AI was reasonably decent. You have a waterpark and theme park nearby as well as easy access into Barcelona for trips. I think it fits the brief tbh. Not too long a flight for a toddler, nice beach too.

Al is so expensive... you could get so much more formal the money by booking yourself

DontCallMeCharlotte · 23/02/2019 10:43

I'd be getting the person/people insisting on AI to be finding the holiday. Relinquish the responsibility OP!
