I've NC and I'm admittedly posting for traffic.
Been off sick since November with serious debilitating facial pain. I posted here as it was suspected I had trigeminal neuralgia. I've seen a neurologist and a maxillofacial surgeon. It's been suggested I have TMJD and this was the presumption until I got some MRI results earlier this week which have shown some inflammation so I now need a lumbar puncture to check my spinal fluid.
AIBU to be really scared about the LP? I'm concerned about the procedure and about what the results might show.
I'd really appreciate any words of wisdom from anyone who has experience in this area.
