Just that really....

I know no one knows exactly what’s going to happen because of brexit.

How many of you have gone ahead as usual and booked holidays abroad?

I’ve been offered a great deal and don’t know whether to go for it
Or not. I’ve done some googling and many of the issues people raise
Wouldnt concern me (ie I have more than six months on passport, don’t mind about losing the European health card so much etc). The only thing giving me pause is the possibility of the flight being
Cancelled and losing the money.

Am I missing any other reasons
Not to book? Are you planning on going abroad after 29th March or am I crazy to consider it???

Everyone I know is going abroad as normal. The world will not stop turning and planes fall out of the sky because of brexit. Only on mn are people scared to book a holiday!

Antigonads · 20/02/2019 06:46

Just book. Uk airlines operating between European cities my be affected but flights to and from Europe will not.

HuntIdeas · 20/02/2019 06:47

Completely agree with @Hollowvictory

The only thing I would suggest is that there might be longer queues the first few days after brexit as new policies bed in. Therefore, make sure you leave plenty of time between transfers etc

Flying to South Africa via Amsterdam the day after Brexit deadline. Haven't given it another thought. Haven't encountered any of this angst in the real world

PBobs · 20/02/2019 21:55

Hasn't even crossed my mind. DH has British passport and we're spending 3 months in Europe around the time it's meant to happen. Meh. Cross that bridge when we come to it.

PBobs · 20/02/2019 21:57

Actually we'll be there after it happens if we stick with the original Brexit date. Shows I haven't thought about it at all.

maddiemookins16mum · 20/02/2019 22:01

The world won’t end on the 29th March.

wooolo · 20/02/2019 22:02

Booked ours as normal

SheWoreBlueVelvet · 20/02/2019 22:03

Have insurance in case anything falls through. But to be fair if you are going to Europe then they will be exactly the same won’t they. It’s only getting there and even then it’ll be more an issue of standing in the non EU queue possibly with a visa.

ooooohbetty · 20/02/2019 22:11

I've got 3 booked for this year. Wouldn't have considered not booking.

whitehorsesdonotlie · 20/02/2019 22:13

Christ, book it as normal. Why not?

NCjustforthisthread · 20/02/2019 22:17

Oh for goodness sake just book it.

donajimena · 20/02/2019 22:18

I booked mine last September. Whatever happens happens.

BitchQueen90 · 20/02/2019 22:37

I've got 3 booked for this year. Not concerned.

WinkysTeatowel · 20/02/2019 22:40

Booked a trip in May, I think I'd avoid the first week or so but after that wouldn't worry,
