To want a weekend job?

My children are easily old enough to be left alone but expensive too. I’m also trying to save for something.

I was considering looking into working weekends but ideally would like it to be something not awful - any ideas?

A cafe that serves breakfast? There's a farm shop near us that looks a lovely place to work.

Depends on your view of what is ‘awful’, I work most Saturdays in retail, I love it, it’s a lovely shop, we have very pleasant customers, I am ‘in charge’ so have autonomy .... but lots of people consider retail ‘awful’.

Do you work Monday to Friday already? What do you do as your main job?

Darkestnight · 20/02/2019 06:43

Supermarket work would be good for weekend work

Yes, I work Monday to Fridays. It’s work with children so I was wondering about something care based. I don’t think I want to work with elderly people though.

Babysitting can be very well paid, and if you get the right family it can be quite relaxed... ie; if they stay in bed & you can watch tv or read. Lots of people would appreciate a more mature babysitter who has experience with children.

Look into respite care, a friend of mine has a child with SN & she is entitled to a respite career for 4 hours, involves taking the child out swimming, for lunch etc.
