Children in my area

Hi ,
I've had a look on mumsnet a few times but never thought I'd really have to question much really , im now there and I'm slightly worried about a couple of children I know . Maybe I'm over thinking so any wise words might help so here goes .. long story but ill try to keep to basics ..
Two children in know ages 8 &10 both still wear nappies to bed , the younger (8) also has a dummy or a bottle at bedtime ?
Is this ok/common/normal ??
The parent has BPD and uses class 1 drugs as well as abusing prescription drugs , sleeps most days and up all night , on the days these kids are here I never see them around as if hey are sleeping too ? Which brings me too my next concern .. I've heard the parent say ( wether jokingly or not that some of their own meds might make these kids sleep ) , I think I know how this sounds now but please someone give me your opinion , I should know exactly what to do here but am I jumping to conclusions ?

Right. Surely social services are involved with this family?

AloneLonelyLoner · 18/02/2019 22:16

That sounds appalling. Call NSPCC anonymously now, or social services. The chances are they are already on the radar nevertheless for your own peace of mind you need to speak up. Speak
up! Children have no voice sometimes.

Well done for reporting it, OP, what you described sounds very neglectful. Too many people agonise over this sort of thing but do nothing. Let's hope those poor kids get the help they need

DALMATAIN101 · 19/02/2019 18:40

Fingers crossed, I have sat on edge all day thinking someone may attempt sorting this out , but sadly so far all I've seen are the usual blinds closed /house in darkness all day until 5pm approx and life has returned to the house again , hope they get them kids out of there and that disgrace of a parent gone .
